KING ADORA Instore Gig/Signing @ VIRGIN MEGASTORES, OXFORD STREET 23/02/01
Arriving an hour early, I pushed to the front and met a nice teen, ROSIE, whose friend ANNA
(Who was also there) and her run a KING ADORA WEBSITE called MASSIVE EGO. Then, after 1 hour, the lads came onto the stage and Maxi told the audience "Hello, Virgin. We are your four virgins for today". I was at the front of the crowd. Below is a picture of the boys playing. They played all the A-SIDES from their singles. 'BIONIC', 'THE LAW', 'BIG ISN'T BEAUTIFUL', 'SMOULDER' and their new single 'SUFFOCATE'. After BIONIC, I was crushed by a barrier and moved back, but this did not stop the gig kickin' ass. The highlights were the three middle songs. After a 1 hour queue, along with Rosie, Anna, Dan, and Mikey (who runs KingBlink), I got to see the band. They were surprised that a kid my age (I'm only 12) liked them, but they thought it was cool. Overall, despite the pain my foot was in, I still thought that that was the one of the best gigs I had ever been to (Better than OASIS @ WEMBLEY). 5/5
